Major Updates #

Instant Settlement to Merchant ClickPesa Account

Previously, once payments from customers were completed, funds were settled to your bank account without the details of the settlement. With this update, funds are now instantly settled to your ClickPesa balance. You can withdraw those funds directly from your balance or use those funds on bulk payouts and single payout. Single Payouts

We introduced an option whereby you can do single payouts. Before this you had to use bulk payout for every payout, even if it was 1 or 2 payouts. With the single payout it means there is an easier way to initiate just one payout to recipients. Read here to learn more.

Payment Collection Fees charged to customers

Payment collection fees, the fees that are charged when you select a payment from your customer, are now paid by your customer instead of paid by you. This applies to all payment methods, such as bank, mobile money etc. For mobile money, the fees your customer pays are fees of ClickPesa and fees of the MNOs itself, for other payment methods, ClickPesa only charges a fee. Make sure to communicate this to your customers. Read here to learn more.

Fee Bearer Customization for Payouts

You can now choose who pays for the payouts fees, is it you as a business, is it the beneficiary or do you split the fees among you. You can decide to pay the fees themselves, have the person receiving the money (beneficiary) pay the fees or they can share the cost between them and the beneficiary. Read here to learn more.

Updated pricing tables

We revised our pricing, most of our fees are lowered now. Read here to learn more.

Minor Updates #

Language Settings

You can now set default language for notifications sent to beneficiaries after successful payouts. Read here to learn more.
